Frannie Sleger is a self-taught artist based out of Madison, Wisconsin and has been practicing since 2018. She uses ink and watercolor to draw houses, alleyways, and porches found in her neighborhood. She is inspired by clutter and imperfections found on and near old residential homes and buildings, which she sees as signs of life left behind on physical structures. She is interested in depicting the way compositions appear naturally at the intersection of natural elements (e.g. wind, light, snow) and the built environment.
The show opens Thursday the 20th at 6pm and will feature an artist talk with Frannie as well as time to mingle and explore the exhibit. The installation will remain at Northstreet until mid June.
